Job Description

Yerevan Park is looking for a technically well informed and experienced Mec to join its Mechanical Engineer/Technical Manager. The ideal candidate has experience in various areas of facilities management including health safety maintenance, electrical, and attractions maintenance, thrives in a fast-paced environment. The chosen candidate will research, develop, and implement new methods of maintaining the highest level of safety within the Park.

Job Responsibilities

-Build, develop, and manage the Technical Department.
-Coordinate the installation of the rides before the park’s opening.
-Coordinate and manage the order of spare parts from manufacturers
-Provides technical guidance, ensures that his Department performs within set technical guidelines by providing or co-authoring standard operating procedures
-Test and adjust ride and attractions equipment during the pre-opening and operational phases. Review, edit, or develop test protocols, procedures, and plans Execute witness or approve testing and test results
-Adheres to the daily inspections regime in a timely, safe manner, ensuring all rides and attractions are ready for handing over to the operations team
-Develop and direct the implementation of health and safety goals, objectives, policies, procedures, budgets, and work standards
-Ensure that the rides and attractions and types of equipment are maintained in excellent condition with the standards
-Troubleshooting and resolving current technical problems
-Report on all mechanical faults, and carry out necessary adjustments and repairs as instructed
-Reinforce and demonstrate a positive “health and safety” culture
-Recruit, train and develop members of the Technical Department
-Scheduling work and break hours for members of the Technical Department
-Provides each team member an objective or goal that he will monitor progress or status on throughout the year. Conducts performance reviews of team members and gives them feedback
-Meets with CEO regularly and gives his monthly and annual reports, which include his team's performance

Required Qualifications

-A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, or in a relevant field
-At least 5 years of successful experience in leisure parks or theme parks as a Technical manager
-Strong technical operational background, direct experience with risk assessment relating to amusement parks
-Outstanding leadership skills
-Strong command of English, knowledge of the Russian language is an asset.
-Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office required
-Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
-Understanding and ability to interpret technical drawings, schedules, technical specifications, and schematics
