Gitec Consult GmbH is a German consulting company that implements "Support Programme for Protected Areas-Armenia" (SPPA-A) programme in joint venture with Eco Consult and CONSECOARD. SPPA- Armenia is a 5-year programme, funded through German Cooperation with Armenia via the KFW bank. Programme executing agency is the Ministry of Nature Protection of Armenia. The program involves 7 PAs in Southern Syunik. The purpose of the Programme is improvement of natural resources and protected areas management, while at the same time improving the socio-economic situation of adjacent local rural communities.
